Here's the general information for the list you've subscribed to, in
case you don't already have it:


Welcome to JUNG-PSYC, a new mailing list for people interested in 
C. G. Jung and analytical psychology. The purpose of the list is to
create a gathering spot on the information highway for people to
share announcements and discussions about Jungian and archetypal
theory and practice.

Participation in this mailing list and in these discussions is free,
courtesy of the computer facilities at Creighton University in
Omaha, Nebraska, U.S.A., where the list is moderated. Information on
how to subscribe follows this brief introduction.

The list is uncensored, in the sense that incoming messages are not 
screened prior to submission to the list. However, subscribers are asked 
to maintain decorum, and the list administration will not tolerate 
messages which are abusive, obscene, or likely to offend significant 
numbers of readers.
 
In addition, users are invited to keep in mind the following EMAIL 
protocols:

*     EMAIL comments which are PRINTED IN UPPER CASE LETTERS or
      *especially offset* carry very strong emphasis.

*     EMAIL protocol generally prohibits sales pitches, and most
      lists screen out proprietary messages. However,
      one of the purposes of JUNG-PSYC is to encourage
      reading, response, and participation, and no such message will be
      routinely screened. Readers, publishers, associations, and
      institutes should feel free to submit short announcements of new
      volumes, events, article publications, lectures, workshops, 
      and conferences.

*     Some have asked about the propriety of discussing personal (even 
      analytic) issues on the network. Please note that whatever you post 
      to   jung-psyc   immediately goes to dozens of people around the 
      world and potentially into electronic storage someplace. 

It's easy to subscribe to JUNG-PSYC. The subscription address to
which you should send a message is:

   majordomo@creighton.edu

The text of your subscription message should read:

   subscribe jung-psyc <your email address here>

(Please note that there's no 'h' at the end of jung-psyc.)

For example, someone with the address of 1234567@place.com should
send the following message to majordomo@creighton.edu:

To post a message to JUNG-PSYC, send it to:

   jung-psyc@creighton.edu

or send it to the listmoderator at the address below. Please be sure
to enter this address in lower-case letters.

The structure of our listserv software will create an unusual situation 
for your incoming JUNG-PSYC mail. Messages will appear to come from 
the 
list moderator; JUNG-PSYC will not show up in message subject lines or 
headers until you actually look at the mail.
